Blizzard conditions today with the snow. So, no outside photos. But, there were some white flowers in my valentine's bouquet today.

A little shaky as I tried hand held and my arms are tired from shoveling. My tripod is down in the car and it's too cold to go get it. But, maybe these will suffice for a beginner.

I like it! When the tripod is not available, there are some tricks you can try. You can rest the camera on the back of a chair. You can put a living room pillow on your kitchen counter and cushion the camera on the pillow. Use the self timer in this case to minimize vibration. There are many things you can do to steady the camera. These are just a couple.

NHM -

Totally understand about the winter "shut-in" thing....NOT:blah:

Just kidding with all that stuff. It was only 78F here today.

I love snow and wish I could get to it more often....I think you are lucky!

Anyway. The Mums look great.

Thanks, Cal Kita and Bob.

I'm going to try again tonight to see if I can't get this shot clearer. I was taking the shot from overhead. Had put the vase on the floor with my "reading lamp" over it for lighting. Was somewhat bracing myself against the edge of the desk it was by. But, should have thought about using the timer.

No snow photos today. Just never made it out. I'm sure it'll be around for a few more days!!! But, have found a few things around the house to try with.

78ºF Wow! I can't remember what it feels to be above 30 at this point. And, you were more than twice that. You can have the snow. I'll gladly trade you if even for just one day right now.

Thanks, vsch1.

The bunny was Lilly. She is no longer with us. She had mega abcess problems from her teeth and only lived to be three. And, just got home today from the vet withGwendolyn having the same problems. Bunnies are one animal I'm not allergic to. And, they make great house pets. Very easy to potty box train. Just have to watch with the chewing.:-)

Thanks for looking.
