I've been trying for two days to get this and don't know what I'm doing wrong.

This is a white bunny photographed on white cardboard. I've tried manually focusing, auto focusing, it just doesn't come out clear. I'm lighting it with a fluorescent floor lamp and have changed my white balance setting in the camera to reflect that.

Any tips on how I could better photograph it?

NHM -

I would try a lower angle on the light (if you could get the light low enough so as not to cast a shadow on the cardboard), and maybe LESS light. It seems a little overexposed, too.

Maybe more harsh light (not diffused) would also help define the shape of the bunny.

Good subject for experimentation.....I'll bet you'll get a great shot soon!

Try setting your exposure compensation to +1.0 and see if that helps. Read the description I added to Vanessa's challenge posting to understand what is going on here. Your metering system, though working properly, is playing games with you.

Thanks, Kita and Cal. I will try all of these things. Cal, I believe the photo may already be at +.07 as I tend to have to shoot that setting (or at least +.03) with this camera. But, I'll go read your comments on the challenge posting and see what I can learn.
