Instead of two different shots of the same subject can it be a full frame and a crop? I am asking because I was in New York couple of weeks ago and took some shots of buildings but don't think I got two shots of the same subject...thanks, Donna

Yes, I will accept a crop in leu of a closeup shot of details in the scene. However, I encourage people to go out and shoot the entire structure and at least one closeup. In a photography class I took a number of years back, the instructor suggested shooting several closeups of different features along with a shot of the entire structure. He then suggested making a collage using the full shot as the background and smaller sized closups on top of it. It sounds like an interesting project but, honestly, I have never tried it!
