Here are a couple of shots taken several years ago of the main library in Vancouver.

Truly amazing! That is one of the most unusual buildings I have seen. I think only Selvin's shots of the upside-down building are more unusual.

I have been to Vancouver, B.C. several times but don't recall seeing this. I have been to downtown, Granville Island, Stanley Park, two botanical gardens, Canada Place, and Gastown. Where is the library located?

Cal

P.S. Oh, I forgot Burnaby and Richmond! Just to cover all my bases, I've also been to Vancouver, USA (WA) many times and never saw anything like this there, either!

Yes, a very interesting modern design. Looks like everyone would have plenty of natural light for reading.

Garlam,

I echo Walter's observations, with the window treatment the natural light abounds in the library.

Very nice collection of shots and thanks for the extended information.

Aloha
