This is one gigantic church. Seemed as if every available square foot of the building was adorned by some architectural feature. Probably every reputable architect in Italy at the time was engaged to design something. Truly mind-boggling.

This is only one section of the structure.

As you can see, it was a gloomy, rainy day.

Wow! What a busy building. The intricate carvings and statuary are great but the whole is too much...in my humble opinion.

Lovely work. I also think the architects deliberately designed an elaborate pigeon roost in disguise.
