Very nice, I remember sitting on my grandma's porch many, many summer evenings. This is a very special place!

very nice, indeed. I plan on adding such a thing to my house - it isn't very common here in germany, but I like the feeling. Won't exactly look that way, but more "modern" - but will serve the same purpose.

Nice detail - peeling paint and all!

I love the character of old homes - especially the details that they don't bother with anymore.

Now this is exactly what I was looking for. The shot of the whole porch is nice but the closup of the scroll work really illustrates the labor that went into the construction. The cracking and peeling paint adds character and also gives an indication of age.
