Hope this counts for this challenge... couldn't get any closer due to a safety fence around this old barn.

The window frames the view, so..... let's just say this is a very large frame!

There is a group trying to restore and save this barn as an historic site in Will County, IL.

Here's the other side...

These shots definitely meet the challenge. I personally prefer the second shot but the first has it own merits. Much of that comes not from the inside of the building but the unique characteristics of the door and the contrast with the stone wall.

Nice shots. In the second one, were you inside the barn or looking in through another window? Either way it tells a story. Now, if you were inside, that tells another story about you being adventurous and bold!

I hope they succeed in restoring the building. However, it will cost a lot of money. The more people they get interested, the more chances of raising the money.

Thanks all.

The second shot was actually taken through a chain link fence about 10 feet away from the barn and then througha window. There are large signs on the barn warning of the danger of going inside and an 8 foot tall safety fence does a good job at keeping people out. You'd probably get the idea of how the stucture is falling apart by the boards leaning against the barn trying to hold it up!

I've been spending a lot of time lately, driving aroundthe Chicago suburbs photographing old barns and silos before these 19th century structures are ALL replaced by shopping malls.I can't believe how many are still around.
