I took these last month while visiting the Parliament in Ottawa. Both pictures where taken from a mezzanine overlooking the entrance area of the building. In a perfect world I would have had more time for these, but they were taken while being herding through a lineup.

I like both shots. I like the architecture and the framing of the shots.

Is that the Parliament building in Victoria, B.C.? I have many shots of the exterior and grounds but have never been inside.

Thanks for the comments Cal and vsch1.

Cal,
What he said.

I've never been to the Parliament in Victoria, but after seeing the Alberta Legislature and the Parliament buildings in Ottawa, I'd suggest that you go. The architecture in these grand old buildings is fantastic. More photo opportunities than you could take advantage of in one visit.

What really surprised me was that two of us spent about 3 hours inside and outside of the Parliament taking pictures, and had no hassles at all from the police. After all the stories you hear about photographers being harassed, especially in high-profile locations, it was refreshing to be able to 'play tourist' without any problems.

Quite a bit of interesting stonework. Hopefully I'll get there one one to take some pictures.

Thanks for sharing. Aloha
