I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 at full (12x) zoom, and cropped it slightly.

f/3.3
2 sec exposure
ISO-100

Taken at 23:17 GMT.

I didn't see this particular eclipse for the same reason Minoltanut mentioned...clouds. I did see and photograph the eclipse that occurred October 27, 2004 and the wierd red glow was there as expected. The first time I saw a total lunar eclipse about 30 years ago, that red glow blew my mind! I wasn't expecting it and hadn't heard anything about it. It was wierd!

Anyway, great shot.

i still remember that red moon from the night of feb 9 1971....the house i was in cracked in half that morning from the earthquake
