How do you post a picture so that it is embedded in the message and not just a link to a download?

Thanks... I'm new to this!

To embed a photo(s) in your post, you must host the photos on another website like Photobucket and place links to the photo(s) in your posting. Photobucket can generate the links for you and all you have to do is copy and paste.

Wrong question/wrong answer, I think....

When posting a "new topic", there is a "Browse" window at the bottom of the screen. Just click that and find the photo on your computer you want to post, and click "open" in the window. It will then show up in the blank space, next to the "browse" box and when you hit "Send" it will be in the post.

I probably don't know what I am talking about, but that's basically how I do it.

Kita and Cal are both correct...there are two ways to post a photo here.

Kita, I think the original question was how to embed a photo in the text of the posting without including it as an attachment and that is the question I addressed.

Sorry Cal...I'm sure you are right.

The reason I gave the alternative solution was the end of his question...

"and not just a link to a download?"

I'm probably all screwed up on this....shouldn't have gotten involved.
