Very nice...great depth of field. I think a photo of just the pin in the white fabric without the thread would be stunning.

Yes, the pin in the white fabric is outstanding however I think the third (yes third) shot is the best. The clarity of the shot where each individual thread on the spools is discernable, the colors, and the composition are outstanding.

I think you "cheated" by putting two shots into one frame thus allowing you to get three shots in one posting! Kind of sneaky! :G

Cal, the first image does seem that way but the DOF matches up, it's the same photo.



I really like these photos. I have a "thing" for textiles. I love the fabric you chose and the thread is so crisp and clear. What camera and lens were you using?

The first shot is not "cheating" it is 1 picture

Im was using Nikon D50 and nikon 50mm 1.8 lens
