Driving the back roads of North Carolina I went across an overpass. Looking down, I saw a train that seemed to go on forever. Stopped on the other side, walked back and took this shot from above. You wouldn't be able to see the contents of these cars from street level. It was also interesting that all the cars seemed to be very new.

Great catch, Walter. That coal probably lighted your home the next day! It is unusual to see a string of new cars in a train. Usually, all you see are rusty, dented cars covered with graffiti.

Good thing you were on an overpass for that train. I'd hate to have to wait for that one at a crossing...however the kids would have had a ball counting the cars.
