In this shot the sunlight does the framing of my wife, explaining affordable housing programs to a young girl at the mall. I'm thinking that this qualifies for the challange, but Selvin will have to make the call.

IMO, the sunlight is a wonderful and creative frame.

Walter,

You're right this is one of your more creative approaches to problem solving. The light does surround her head almost totally, even a thin wisp of it is visible around her face.

Being the flexible kinda folks we are I'll say this shot makes the criteria.

Well, I'm going to be a detractor. Although it is a very creative photo with the shaft of sunlighting illuminating your wife, I don't feel that it constitutes framing. Instead, it is a good example of selective lighting.
