I just think this shot is plain funny. Well, as funny as Ninja geese can be.

smac,

I think you mean "ninja" not "nija" goose. In any event, geese have a legendary place in keeping security. See Below:

"Ballantine's (Ballantine Scotch Whiskey) famous gaggle of ferocious white geese - the Scotch Watch - has featured in international TV documentaries, magazine articles, even record covers.

The security value of geese has been well known since Roman times. The best-known story of their efficiency dates from when enemy Gauls stealthily advanced towards Roman soldiers as they slept in their hilltop fortress, the Capitol. The first invader was almost over the ramparts when the geese, kept by Romans as sacred birds, began screeching to alert their masters to the imminent attack."

The original URL is: http://www.suntory.co.jp/whisky/Ball.../chp-12-e.html

Yes, Suntory, the famous Japanese distiller has been busy acquiring prime whiskey distillers even in Sc.otland

This shot is very well done. I think you've mastered the art of geese snapping.

Aloha

 Thanks Selvin, I wish I could claim dislexia for my missplelling of Ninja but... oh what the heck it was D-I-S-L-E-X-I-A.
Thank you for the link. I have heard that Peacocks make good guards as well.

Mahalo,
Steve

Ishino and Gerafix,
Thank you both for your comments. I have to admit that this is one of my favorite shots as well. I am going back to the coastal town were this particular goose resides. I will definitely be taking more shots of this character.

All the best,
Steve
