Lines

Lines can guide the viewers eye.

Lines can lead the viewers eye to the subject.

Lines can give a sense of unity.

Lines can be implied, rather than explicit.

converging lines, the most classic example is railrod tracks.

diagonal lines will draw the eye through a photograph, off center will be the most dramatic.

horizontal lines, horizons are the most common. It is important to keep horizontal lines horizontal.

and vertical lines verticle.

Curved lines are great, they draw the eye, but circles would probably be another challenge all together.
