Tell me if this works. I like the effect of the sunrise hitting the lines, then diminishing as they disappear into the mist coming off the lake in the distance, but somehow it doesn't have the punch I thought it would.

This is one of those difficult shots that even the professionals have trouble with. It appears that the sun is straight in front of you which makes the shot even more difficult. I don't know how you metered the shot but I think the brightness of the fog/mist pushed your exposure off a bit. I think about -0.5 EV exposure compensation might have helped.

It may not have the punch you wanted, but I still think it looks okay. Kind of neat all of it coming together like that.
