This is gonna be a fun challenge

This is an old mill of some sort from around 1920. After it's usefulness as designed, it became a junk warehouse for the state. All the junk was removed the mid 80's due to safety concerns. Now it sits in it's current condition. It is actually sturdier than it looks, but not by much:G

here is a shot from inside the front door. Pardon the shadow at the bottom, but, this was a stick the camera in the door, click a couple of shots, and run:? not for fear of it falling but there are rattler's around!!!

Mugmar, both those shots are terrific, and with the possibility of rattlers lurking, you are braver than I. I think you could have cropped the shadow in #2 without detracting from the composition.

You're right the crop did help.

Mugmar,

One man's castle is another man's derelict.

Neat shots.

It reminds me of the song about the crooked man who lived in a crooked house!

Nice shots (cropped and uncropped) of some urban decay. Watch out, before you know it there will either be a Wal-Mart or Lowes in that spot!:lol:

Selvin, cal thanks for the comments. Fortunately (or unfortunately) there is already a super walmart, lowes and home depot within a couple of miles of this!! I also sits along a green way so hopefully this area will stay this way for a long long time to come.

! I always wonder about the people who lived and worked in old places like this.
