This is a picture of an old church in RathClooney, co Clare, Ireland where my great grandparents and possibly my g-g grandparents are buried. The church dates back to around 1400. The interior floor is covered with flat grave stones.

Beautiful shot. I love the way you have juxtaposed the shell of the old church with old grave markers.

I like the continuity suggested by the composition. In the foreground are stones from an obviously later date because of the lack of weathering. However, as you move closer to the church, the stones are progressively older. It suggests an inter-generational tie that is compelling.
