This is the Chateau Laurier Hotel in downtown Ottawa, oneof the great railroad hotels from an earlier time. It's still a specatacular place to stay.

The picture was taken just before Christmas 2006, no snow, but the downtownwas all lit up in blue lights.

Spectacular photo! I love the blue lights on the trees. In the US, so many people are going to all white lights and I hate them. Beautifulshot of the building. You seem to have figured out night shooting! :bye:

Bobbert,

Lovely work. As noted the lighting is right on.

Aloha

Thanks for the comments! I was freezing my fingers off taking pics that night, glad it was worth it. It is indeed a great place to stay... grand old world architecture, and a gallery of spectacular Kash portraits included!!

Very nice, bobbert. Having just tried to take a night shot of the Temple in Salt Lake City, I know what went into this photo. I did not have my tripod with me, nor any place reasonable to support the camera. Needless to say, my shots are not as clear as yours here.

Good job.
