#1 is really nice. The diffusion of the red light is very effective.

Those are great. If you can get that quality of photo from your 1.6 mp camera, I am going to have to some more work with my cell phone camera. I haven't been too impressed with it, so far.

thanks chaps, I took these photoswith my first digital camera, sony mavica, remember the one with the floppy disk to insert. I had great fun with that camera and could not part with it. I still take it out with me now but its so big and heavy. I can't find my original photo, the post was only a cropped and reduced image which has lost much of its crispness and is a bit noisy but it had good colours so i posted it. (My phone camera, 2mp is not good)

The first one is lovely. The rays almost look like a butterfly.

Bill,

The first shot certainly grabs our attention. The second may be suffeing from from un-intentioned artifacts due to lightreflection off lens surfaces. Hard to really tell.

Thanks for the submissions. Your work as usual provides additional evidence that Mpixels are not the end all of digital photography.
