Again to the archives since we had very little sun today. This one taken in March. Tomorrow promises to be a better day to go searching, and I'm planning an early outing to see what I can find.

Trojansoc,

Looks like something from Dante's Inferno. Good example of the challenge.

Aloha

Selvin comapred the first shot in this sequence to something Dantean. Yesterday morning, while I was shooting for examples of crepescular rays, I got the following shot, which decidedly does not meet the challenge since, as far as I can tell, it contains no rays. However, I was struck by the small cloud formation to the left and its stylized human silhouette.

I couldn't help but think of the sinner being pushed across the roiling inferno to the edge of the abyss. The texture and colors have a vaguely Renaissance feel. Only PP was cropping, levels, and a small USM.

Sorry this one doesn't meet the challenge but it was so closely related to selvin's comment I had to post it.
