I got this picture of a building across from my apt complex...but by the time I got the camera out of my apt and was able to take the picture...the sun was too far down and you could no longer see the rays.



This one I took by accident on the golf course the other day. Maybe it's just me...but this picture kinda hurts my eyes if I stare at the sun.

Neither shot contains any natural sun rays. Since you admit the first shot was shot too late to get the rays, I am curious as to why you posted it. The "rays" in the second shot are being generated inside your lens by diffraction with the iris leaves.
