Great! The second one must be one of the biggest spreads of rays we've seen in this challenge, because the sun's right at the top, and the rays cover nearly the whole frame.

The weather gods were using a large aperture on their spotlight.

#1 is a lovely picture ,but challenge is on sun rays than #2 is a true contender.Still I love #1 ,had this pic is not in challange round

I tend to agree with mcliu regarding the first shot. The rays almost look like rain showers. Since, I assume, this is an archive shot, you obviously shot it for the people in the water. You could crop it but you would lose resolution.

The second shot is great.
