When looking at mountain streams & waterfalls, I have often wished my lens was wider-angle, to get the whole hillside in. The garden ofthis remote Shetlandcottage gave me a preresized opportunity . Memory inspired by trojansoc's second water feature, it's cropped a tiny bit, resized, & sharpened.

It's a fine representation, not of a typical Shetland village, but a Faroese village. This is perhaps not a coincidence, because of historic links between the communities of the two archipelagos, notably WWII activities directed at Nazi-occupied Norway.

Sadly, the water wasn't running when I took the shot. When the cottage owners spot a curious passer-by, they turn on the pump.

The decidedly landscape second picture shows the whole work of art.

Love it. Thank you for the information about the shot. I would love to have one of those in my yard.

Great work, Alan. Including both formats definitely adds perspective to the whole thing.

The closest thing we've got to that around here, is the Peterson Rock Garden near Bend, Oregon. I have posted some shots of that in the past.

Alan, This is so cool. I bet it's great with the water flowing.
