Since the last ludicrously tall foxglove pictures, parts of England & Wales have suffered unprecedentedly heavy, protracted, rainfall. The tallest foxgloves are the worse for wear. I failed to get a reasonable shot through therain-covered vertical format kitchen window, but today it's stopped raining. However, even this shot was technically too hard for me, as it's very windy, and the garden is in violent motion.

I wanted large depth of field as well as a reasonable shutter speed, but this is the best I could do - 1/60s, f/8, ISO200, 55mm equiv. Focused on the teddy bear. Tried higher ISO, but nothing better.

For interest, thisis how the upstanding flowers look after the storm. The very tall oneI showed earlier is seriously but not fatally bent, at the top right. I feel bad talking about bent flowers. We've had 3 deaths, widespread flooding, the rivers are still rising, and a reservoir dam's near to collapsing.

I like your first shot but I would like to see a bit more of the window frame. As it is, the shot looks a bit "unfinished".

The second shot is beautiful.

Well, there's this, but it also has the image of the lamp illuminating the bear!
