two very good shots, the trail leading to the clouds and horizon and the totem pole has excellent focus and colour

I really like both shots. In the first, the two contrails, one fresh and an older one, beg the question "Where did they come from and where are they going?"

The colors in the totem pole are outstanding. Where is that located. I know there are some totems in Vancouver's Stanley Park but I don't think this is one of them. The totems in Stanley Park are not so colorful.

I agree, both photos are excellent examples of vertical orientation. Was the totem pole shot with a polarizing filter? The deep blue of the sky is wonderful. It reminds me of the totems I saw in Skagway Alaska when I was a boy.
Nicey done.

Thank you bill, calr, and smac!
A lot of people knock the kit lense for the 350d bill, but I have to disagree with most of them, it's not all that bad at all!
This is all in Kelowna, the totem pole being near a tennis court in the Mission... not sure why.. but I see it everyday almost lol.
Yes it was shot with a polarizer, I can't get enough of it either, so fun!
