Reminds me of 'High Anxiety'. Watch out for gun-toting psychiatrists!

Nope! This atrium is mobile! This is the atrium on the cruise ship formerly known as the Norwegian Sky. It has been transformed into a Hawaiian motif and renamed to the Pride of Aloha.

This shot was taken during the earlier incarnation of the ship. In the center of the ship, you find this beautiful atrium extending from the deck on which you board, all the way up to the highest accessable part of the ship. I think the bottom is on deck 5 and the top is deck 12. The atrium is circular. There are two sets of glass enclosed elevators, one set on the foward edge and one set on the aft edge of the atrium. In this shot, I got as close to one set of elevators as I could get, laid on my back and shot straight up. The white circle is the skylight at the top. You can see two of the elevators in this shot. One is visible about half way up on the far side and the bottom of one on the near side is visible. To get an idea of the size of this atrium, you can see a woman standing at the railing about three decks up.

I have cruised on this ship in both incarnations. We took an Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Sky and a Hawaiian cruise on Pride of Aloha.
