Vertical orientation is the only way to go if you hope to get the tail of one of these guys. (Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher)

I don't know if it was the same mockingbirdthat I caught a few days ago, but it was definitely the same tree, and he was feeding his face again.

Just curious, what's the tech info on your shots just in case I get the itch to do some bird photography.

Thanks. The first shot with the elongated tail is an eye catcher.

Selvin, both shots were taken with the Pentax K10d....a Phoenix 100-400 AF lens (although I'm not sure if I used AF on these shots or not)....f 16.....1/125th on both...ISO 200.

The bird is an eyecatcher in the first one....they're beautiful and interesting enough that it doesn't take a great shot to highlight them. I love to watch them chase off far bigger birds like crows.
