That looks great. I wonder if a weak application of the fill flash tool, first, before the channel split might have made it even better. Something to think about and experiment with. This challenge is about experimenting with techniques.

I have PSP7, i am going to look for the fill flash tool. I don't think i've got it, but i'll hunt for it!

i have something called 'flood' under illumination effects in the lights item, which seems to do the trick rather nicely. I need to practice with it for a bit, but here's the basic bare-bones application of it:

v7.04 was the last free, or very cheap upgrade, I think. Because that's what I've got. It's got lots of tools I've never used yet, though this challenge is helping me find more. I've used it since v3 or so, when Windows was very young.
