I was originally going to say that the scene was too dark, but after studying the picture fo a bit I agree with Cal. It has a mysterious, foreboding quality to it. Something is lurking in those trees watching us, I know it. :shock:

I put this sky in to the original colour photofirst, to see what to do with the rest of the image, same thing againjust played around with thechannel mixer till I got near what I wanted, then used a mask on the river because I liked the light sparkling on it, then flatten the layers, dup layer again set blend mode to multiply linked it to the layer below then just painted over with a soft brush playing with the opacity to make it lighter or darker where needed.

Alex, if I understand you, this is a composite of two different images. You have replaced the sky in your original image with the sky from another image. We do not accept that type of manipulation in this forum. Please read the forum guidelines anchored at the top of the forum.

Also, please read the challenge description. We asked that you post both the BW conversion and the color original for comparison.
