When I was a kid, my grandfather had one of the best maintained red barns in the rural county where I lived. Today, twenty years after his death, an aunt lives on the farm (still a working cattle farm although the town has grown to encircle it), but the barn is no longer so proud.

(Conversions with Gorman-Holbert process)

Through the open door you can still see the old style corn cribs used to feed cattle.

(BTW, shooting angles were limited because my aunt wasn't home, and I didn't want her to get a report from neighbors about some big stranger wandering around her property with a camera.)

They don't build them like that anymore. Now they are made of steel and look more like industrial warehouses than barns.

As with your auction photo, you didn't mention what conversion process you used with these shots. The results are good but could have been better if the originals were better. The contrast could be improved and the shots could be sharper. I think I might try boosting the saturation on the color shots before converting but am not sure if that would help.
