This is a BW conversion of a three-shot panorama stitch of the riverboat Queen of the West which plies the Columbia River.

This is a split to CMYK retaining the yellow channel. The stitch was done on the color shot before conversion

Here is the original color.

P.S. If this looks familiar, I posted it for a previous challenge about a year ago.

Good panorama Cal.

I've always wanted to take a ride on one of these boats but never got a chance.

It was a bold pano, Cal, with the chap leaning there. He could have given himself a twin, or turned himself into a two-headed monster if he'd moved a bit. Or was he an accomplice?

Alan, you bring up some interesting points. First of all I don't know the man. I have never met or talked to him. He did not know I was shooting the picture.

Second, the individual shots were taken with the idea of sometime manually stitching (didn't know the term, them) together. They were handheld and auto everything which violates all the rules of pano shots.

Third, I did have some trouble with the man. Not problems with ghosts or multiple body parts but I did have a problem with him being in one of the shots and not in another shot that needed to be stitched. I don't remember how I resolved that but I think I had an extra shot in the series and was able to use it.

Nice pano, and nice conversion. There is just enough noise in the yellow channel that you kept to make the viewer question if this is an old or new photo.
