Nice shot. I'm impressed with the iPhoto conversion process. It doesn't look as flat as many simple desaturation methods (such as Photoshop). Pets aregreat subjects, and seem tolend themselves well to monochrome conversion. My avatar is of one of my cats, converted to monochrome, with the colour retained in the eyes.

That is a great looking cat. I love the fact you retained the color in the eyes.
Just because I said I was a dog person doesn't mean I don't like cats. My daughter has two and they are a crack up.
