Another shot from Sea Life Park. These things provided such a neat subject - I loved the texture and the way the mid-morning light reflected off of it's shiny surface. Again shot with my finepix s5100 in B&W. No PP, just resized.

They are cute looking "creatures" but they are a real ripoff to the pocketbook! I think a quarter gets you about 5 minutes. A good pair of binoculars does a better job and there's no time limit!

Nice shot.

Excellent shot. The subject matter certainly lends itself well to a B&W treatment. I think the composition is terrific. You kept enough of the landscape in the shot to suggest to the viewer where the shot was taken, and kep the interest. This is undoubtedly more interesting than the 5 million snapshots that have been taken of the view from this same point.

Thank you for the kind words. These pictures were actually taken a while back (don't tell Cal :G). This day was the reason why I decided to make the jump into the DSLR world.

Hawaii built,

Never really noticed these at Sea Life park but then again I don't get there very often. They're certainly not at Halona, blow hole. Thanks to the state.

Aloha
