This is a shot of the Delicate Arch, one of the most famous landmarks in Utah. This was shot midday on 35mm negative film and scanned.

The BW conversion uses channel mixer R:10% G:20% B:70% Constant:5%

Very nice conversion. The color version seems toooo "technicolor".

Artistically for the audience, maybe, but I can believe maybe it really looks like that, Cal? I wish I could go & look for myself.

Here in a warm, wet English 'summer', I keep thinking my digicam's oversaturating the greens, but then when the sun comes out, I realise that Mother Nature does even better than my vivid imagination, and they really are that vivid.

I hate to disappoint some of you naysayers but that is the actual color. In southern Utah, a great deal of the landscape is that red color. Bryce Canyon is mostly tha color except for the occasional trees.
