This is a shot I took of my son's fiance a few weeks back when doing a lesson on portraits for a class I was taking.

She's not keen on the photo. But, I think it's a good likeness of her.

I didn't think I'd like taking the portrait shots, but I actually enjoyed it.

Seems like you caught her with her guard down. Speculating on the mood she conveys she does seem very hesitant about the whole situation.

I would perhaps crop out the unecessary distractions since her face is the primary attraction.

Thanks, Selvin. She had been being photographed with a group until then. That may be why the look of hesitancy.

I can try to crop further, but was trying not to cut off body parts.

Nicely done. Did you hold up the little rabbit and ask her to say CHEESE? That is the way you're suppose to do it...right?

A Japanese relative who worked in a care home recommends asking for "MORPHINE", quite appropriate for some of us round here.

nhmon, I feel her eye is narrowed b'coz of sun .Allow me make a suggestion, Usea muslin cloth to shade her face,so she will open up her eye more. Otherwise it could bea nice portrait
