We finally got to meet our first grandchild this weekend. I was going through my photos tonight and thought this might qualify as a portrait even though he's not looking at me. I should have done a little better with the DOF as Nathan's head is a little out of focus. But, I like the mood of my husband almost being reflective on his life.

This was just after my husband took him away from me so we could get going on our trip home. He knew I would never voluntarily give him up. I've got another of his face, but not sure how many we can post each day on this challenge.

can feel the warmth and very emotive. Sometime the crux of the picture does not rely on technique , but what it actualy represents
This picture, I am sure, will communicate to most of the viewer very effectively. Well done

Well done indeed. I love it. Beautiful expression... you can feel your husband's delicate but protectivetouch holding the baby and the love just pouring out of his heart. The colors are well saturated and warm, just like the moment itself. Great job!

nhMom,

Haven't heard from you in some time. The warmth of the colors and the body language says volumes. A direct look is not always necessary. In this case I think the other mitigating elements were well represented.

Aloha

Thank you, mcliu, Tullio, selvin and Cal. Much appreciated.

Yes, Selvin, I haven't been around much lately. Just too many things going on right now around here. But, should be back more soon.

This is a truly wonderful shot. It captures everything it needs to and very eloquently.

Thanks, Trojansoc.

I still haven't had a chance to go through my others. And, my camera was just shipped back to Pentax today to be checked on something. So, not sure how soon I'll be able to get anything new unless with my old film or Olympus camera. I'm hoping the turnaround is as quick as someone else's I know. We'll see.
