This past weekend my wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Lake Tahoe. Saturday we drove down to Genoa, where the Pony Express stopped -- and the site of Nevada's oldest continuously operating tavern. Interestingly, right across the street was the Morman settlement. I imagine those were interesting times.

Anyway, here I am with my daughter and oldest son (my youngest one had to work).

That roof between you and your daughter is very distracting. A different shooting angle would have been better.

You've got one good looking family, Walter. Are your kids into photography as well?

Thanks, Tullio. Yes, they both have P&S cameras and use them a lot. But, my daughter is normally on the other side of the camera (model, actress). My son is an airline pilot who spends most of his free time with his guitar, drums and keyboard.

I too play the guitar and the piano. I used to take my guitar everywhere (along with my camera, of course). Now I don't have a whole lot of time left to play any instrument. Every now and then I play at parties but that's about it. I love music as much as photography.

Walter,

I think you should bottle your genes. Both kids are extremely photogenic.

Aloha.
