I think it's a specimen of the dangerous insect 'servientis spagetiportans', trying to crawl out of its glass cage. Requires great care in handling if messy accidents are to be avoided.

Yeah, I'll call it by a different name but it's the same thing, a sphagetti ladle. Great angle on the shot and though probably not intended, the "silhouette" effect. I don't think it is actually a silhouette but rather a black utensil on a white background.

This is a great challenge for "Whatsit" games. Now I just need to decide which camera to use!!

Thanks for the replies.

Although this does resemble the feared and dangerous 'servientis spagetiportans' it is not. It is a lesser known and much tamer cousin. This could be used to serve pasta, but it is not it's intended purpose. Any other guesses???

Cal, This is a black utensil against a white background, for added contrast I converted it to B/W.

Thanks for looking

Seems like a ladle/strainer type doohickey.

You know, Vanessa, I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's a doohickey!

Soap dish? Doubles as device for retrieving objects dropped down lavatory pans, false teeth from hot soup, breast pocket digicams from fish tanks, etc., (not necessarily in that order).

It is definitely a doohickey!!!! It is actually a plastic Whisk for stirring gravy and getting lumps out of sauces, etc. It works the same as the old metal types it is just safe for non-stick surfaces.

Thanks everyone for playing. Hopefully we will be able to participate more with the challenges again.
