I'd like to suggest a variation on Flutelady's guess. They might be pads you stick on the bottom of lamps or other things that you set on a table. They help protect the table from scratches.

They do help protect something, but not furniture or floor.
They are pretty much solid excluding the attachment device on the back.
I have only seen them round.

This one really has me perplexed. It seems as though it is a cover ona wall, maybe over a hole. But, I can't see that most of us have these as you say. ????

Any more hints?

Maybe coffee filters??? But, no, as Minoltanut's comment about making a bigger hole makes no sense......

These are door stops. Just a different form. They are flat plastic, stick to the wall (OK I used Liquid nails also), and painted to match the wall. The door knob contacts this instead of the wall itself. I use them in areas where the regular door stops present a problem, specially for my wife and her walker, like hall ways, etc.
