A few weeks ago just before my currect road trip I had an opportunity to snap the setting sun at the Waikoloa Hilton on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is a small amount of post editing done to remove some lens flare which is common with inexpensive lens for DSLRs. Otherwise the shot is untouched except to preserve the correct color balance.

Photo taken with Sony Alpha 100, Sigma mid-range telephoto lens (Sigma 28-136 mm f/3.8-5.6, macro).

Enjoy.

Nice composition and great color - there's a hole in my monitor now from that sun!!
