Another picture of Myrtle taken from the same location - different morning. I hope this qualifies as backlight clouds.

Yes, they both definitely qualify. You see backlit clouds almost every day.

Both are very different from each other and very nice. The sky on the second image is very powerful with its dramatic cloud formation. Good job!

Thank you all for your comments. Believe it or not, inspite of the angry sky in the second photo, the day turned out sunny and clear. We were at Myrtle Beach for a week and every day the sunrise had something new to offer.

No. 1 is special as it conveys the sense of movement by the couple and the gulls. Nicely done!
