Not really backlit appears to be front-lit.

No backlighting per se but definitely silhouettes. Great shot.

Nice shot, Bill. The image isvery noisy, though. I looked at the EXIF data and it indicates ISO 1600. You might want to lower the setting to 800.

The shot is beautiful, and you might not have gotten it had you not used the high ISO. The other option is to run it through a good noise reduction program such as Noiseware.
