The last leg on a recent trip to Southern Siberia (Tuva) I flew on an Russian Yak 40. It was indeed an experiance. I actually boarded the plane from the rear. On the way back I flew on an AH 24 Twin Turbo Prop. I boarded this one on the side. It to was an experiance. The first picture is the Yak 40 and the second is the AH 24.

A Yak-40! brings back memories of the cold war period.

The second plane reminds me of the turboprop DeHaviland Dash-8 which was used by a few of the local airlines to service the smaller islands. In fact I think they still use them.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.
