This may be a somewhat cluttered image, but I thought it was interesting all the ropes and such involved in the process of moving the tall ships. Taken a month or so ago when they visited Portsmouth, NH harbor.

The tall ships do provide a certain challenge on how to best interpret them in a photo.

We were in Portsmouth harbor a week or so ago and like you found it challenging to decide what kind of shots to take of the Mayflower replica. I'll post a few in a day or so on my web site so you can see how I interpreted it.

Lots of ropes and poles. The phot is cluttered but it conveys a message. There's a lot of old ships there.

It was difficult as you are limited by where you can shoot from if you don't pay the admittance fee due to the surrounding water. We had gone out onto the old railroad bed.

And, yes,in looking at the photos taken from the railroad bridge over the water by someone who was with me (I wouldn't go out there) there were three ship's masts in my shot.

Selvin, do let me know where you post your photos taken. I look forward to seeing them.

Wow...and someone actually knows where each rope connects to! Good job, nhmom!
