Around here, you are what you drive. Its not just about getting from point A to point B. Witness this person's Mercedes convertible that has been completely chromed! Spotted up the coast in Malibu.

Of course, you really trump everyone else if you can get hold of a very rare classic like this Mercedes 300 convertible from the 1940s. Spotted down the road in Newport Beach. (BTW, I drive a Prius).

Very nice road show shots. A fuly chromed Mercedes. I guess that might have been a gift to the man who had everything.

That Mercedes has got to be one heavy vehicle. I wonder if he ever gets stopped for blinding people!

I wonder what the story is behind the chromed Mercedes. Was it done before assembly at the factory? If it was done after that would be no easy feat. It would be a lot of fun photographing that car in different situations. Thanks for the pic Walter.

Very nice shots. I missed the carshow over in Newport this past weekend. I thought it ran all Labor Day weekend but it was only Saturday and Sunday. Did get a lot of nice photos in Newport, nonetheless.

Very interesting shots. It is amazing what some folks do to there cars.

That one Mercedes owner washed the paint right off his car!!!

that could very well be the Renntech Mercedes... a one off car made in 2004. 675HP and 800 foot pounds of torque. That thing will move!
