Here's a barge pushing upstream, taken from the other side of the K&I railroad bridge. There's a train on the track in this shot too but you can't make it out at this resolution.

Nice shots, Bill. That's quite a towboat. I don't think I've seen one that big before. The towboats that work the Columbia River are only about half that size.

He's pushing four barges. Eight, ten and twelve barge sets are not uncommon. Every few years somebody loses one and lodges it against a bridge, dam or bank. It takes a while to get them loose.
