Considering the makeup of the group, I'm surprised no one has done this one already--lens bars.

Outstanding shot and great idea. I think you cheated a bit to get an even progression in height. I not that a couple of the lenses are set on their sun shades and the last one appears to be zoomed out to maximum. Great idea and great execution.

LOL, Cal. You give me more credit for planning than is due. The lens hoods were used for the very elaborate reason that I had left the lens caps in my bag inside and I didn't want to walk back in and get them. Thus, using the hood was the only way I wouldn't be setting the lens directly on the porch rail. On the other question, believe it or not, the lens at the right is at minimum zoom. The little you see sticking out is only the focusing stub. The lens is a Phoenix/Cosina 100-400 AF zoom I use for birds and is one LONG tube. Extended, it's a good3 inches longer.

Good idea. I've only got two lenses. So, to take the shot I'd only have one lowly bar.

The only thing missing now is a bazooka lens. At least that's what I call those prime telephoto lens the size of bazookas you see commercial photographers hefting around at sports events.

great idea.

Aloha

Well......there is one other thing missing....a couple of thousand dollars for a "bazooka."

After all, I'm supposed to be saving my pennies to go to Hawaii next year, lol.

I stand corrected. Yes, they aren't cheap by any means. It's so nice to be able to spend someone else's money to satisfy your inner urges.

Aloha - let me know when you reach paradise.
