Let's try some bars in motion.

Earlier last month, the Navy's Thunderbirds put on an aerial show in Waikiki that had the spectators wishing for more. Unfortunately the skies were overcast.

Sony A100, 300mm at full extension, handheld, ISO100, F9, 1/640 sec.

Wonderful show.

Aloha

Nice shot! Were you following them with the camera or holding the camera still?

Tried some panning but that was limited because of the huge crowd surrounding you.

I would pan as they screamed by and then fired off a burst of about 3-4 shots.

Aloha

Wonderful shot, selvin, although the Air Force might get mad at their demo team getting transferred to the Navy .

BTW, son and wife are loving their new Hawaiian home. They're out in the mountains NW of Kanohoe in an isolated farm house.

Trojansoc,

Glad to hear your folks are settlled in and enjoying paradise. Thanks for the correction, ooops I meant the AIRFORCE.

Folks thanks for the comments it was a joy watching the Thunderbirds while standing on perhaps the most famous beach in the world.

I saw the Thunderbirds about ten years ago when they performed their show at the Hillsboro airport in Hillsboro, OR, about 15 miles west of Portland. They are every bit as good as the Blue angles. Great shot, Selvin.
