This is the local power plant this afternoon during a light rain. I cropped the sides and increased contrast to emphasize the storm coulds above the smokestacks.

Also taken today during a light rain, these colorful banners were blowing in the wind. They're all the same height, but the angle of this shot makes you think otherwise.

Good work. I love the second one but the first is just perfect in B&W.

I agree with most of what's been said so far. I don't care for the vertical format in the first shot. There is too much sky and threatening clouds. There is something odd in those clouds and maybe it is an optical illusion. About a third of the way down from the top there is what looks like a vertical contrail, a straight vertical column of smoke, or a reflection. It may be nothing but it got my attention.

I like the second shot but it is a bit dark. Nice banners, however. That would be great for the flags and banners challenge if we do it again.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I see that vertical cloud. It's on another picture taken about 10 seconds later. I don't recall any missile launches yesterday.

In retrospect that second one really is too dark. I guess I was moody after converting the first one to black and white.
